Positive Behaviour Support Workshop Coordinator

New role at the CBF: vacancy for PBS Workshops Coordinator

The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) is a registered national charity supporting individuals with severe learning disabilities and behaviours described as challenging and their families.

We have been successfully delivering Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) workshops to family carers and front line staff across the UK for 10 years and we are now looking to expand our reach of co-trainers.

We have a vacancy for a part-time PBS Workshops Coordinator on a one year fixed term contract funded by the Big lottery and Peoples Postcode Trust.

We are looking for applicants who have experience of Positive Behaviour Support and have excellent communication and organisational skills.  You will lead on training and supporting  new trainers, helping to promote the workshops and developing the content of new workshop materials.

This is an exciting opportunity working within a small and friendly charity based in Kent with a strong reputation for excellence within the learning disability field.  Some travel will be required.

This post will be based at the Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) office in Chatham, with some travel around the UK (around 12 days travel, with some overnight stays, over the 12 months). 


Recruiting CBF Co-trainers

The CBF are expanding our UK wide team of family carers and professionals who deliver our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Workshops.

We are looking for family carers of people with severe learning disabilities and professionals with experience of PBS to work together as Co-trainers. As Co-trainers you will bring your experiences to personalise and enhance the delivery of the standardised and evaluated workshop sessions. You will help families, support workers and other professionals learn how to use PBS to reduce challenging behaviour displayed by the children or adults they support.
