We are looking for an organised, proactive and compassionate Administrator to play a key role in the smooth and effective running of the CBF.
You will provide high quality administrative support across the organisation and act as a first point of contact for families, professionals and partners. The role also includes dedicated administrative support for a new five-year project, Making it Matter, contributing to effective project delivery and reporting.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys juggling priorities, working collaboratively, and making a real difference behind the scenes in a values driven organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day to day administrative and office support to the CBF team
- Act as a first point of contact, managing email and telephone enquiries sensitively and professionally
- Organise meetings, appointments and diaries, including support for the Chief Executive Officer
- Book travel and accommodation for staff and family carers and organise payments for family carers in line with organisational procedures
- Support the organisation of events, meetings, workshops and mailings
- Maintain and update databases, including enquiries, subscriptions and resource requests
- Support governance processes, including policy reviews and preparation of Trustee papers and reports
- Provide administrative support to the Making it Matter project and other organisational priorities as required
About you
You will have:
- Experience of providing effective administrative support in an office or organisational setting
- Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with people at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- A sensitive, empathetic approach

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
SalaryReal Living Wage – currently £13.45ph (£26,227 FTE)
Contract:Fixed-term until 30 April 2031
Location:Office Based (Chatham Kent – 5 min walk from train station)
