The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (The CBF) is a small national charity focussed specifically on the needs of children, young people, and adults with severe learning disabilities whose behaviour is described as challenging, and their families. We have an exciting opportunity to join our small and dedicated team as a Family Support Caseworker (15 hours per week) helping to improve the lives of people with severe learning disabilities and their families.

Hours: 15 hours a week

Salary: £29k (FTE) dependent on knowledge and experience. 

Contract: Fixed term until September 2025

Start date: Asap 

Location: This post will be based at our office in Chatham (hybrid and remote working considered). 

The Family Support Caseworker will offer casework support to family carers by telephone and email, providing information and guidance about challenging behaviour associated with severe learning disabilities including: human rights, communication, accessing services, safeguarding and other related topics. A particular focus of this role will be casework with families of children and adults in inpatient services (ATUs).

Clinical supervision is provided as well as ongoing learning and professional development.
