Are you interested in joining a Parent Carer Advisory Group? (Paid role)
Take part in an exciting new research project that will be evaluating Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) with parents of children with learning disabilities.
The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) is working with University College London (UCL) and Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust on an exciting new research project. We would really appreciate if you could share the below information with families in your network.
The project will be evaluating Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) with parents of children with learning disabilities referred to learning disability CAMHS. VIG is a therapy which helps the parent identify the strengths in the way they interact with their child. Successful communication between a parent and a child is captured on video and discussed with a VIG therapist.
As part of this project, we are looking to recruit parents to join a Parent Advisory Group. The Parent Advisory Group will meet 5 times across three years (2022-2024) and will have the opportunity to take part in additional activities.
You will be paid for each meeting you attend, as well as for taking part in optional activities.
