The aim of the What Matters to Me project was to enable young people to express their experiences, preferences and views about the services and support and to have an influence on them. These promotional videos, based on the findings of the What Matters to Me project, can be shared to inform and inspire.

Working directly with young people with severe or profound and multiple learning disabilities and the families and staff who support them, we identified 6 principles of meaningful engagement.

What Matters to Me has identified eight key findings of things that are important to and for people with severe or profound multiple learning disabilities as they transition into adulthood. By identifying what matters through directly engaging with this group of young people, we can ensure their own experiences, preferences, and views can influence the support and services they can access.
