Early intervention

Early Intervention is one of the most crucial aspects of delivering good outcomes for people with learning disabilities and their families.

See ‘Early intervention’ under the strategic influencing part of this website

We have undertaken several projects focusing on early intervention and early years support:

Paving the Way- this three year project, delivered in partnership with the Council for Disabled Children aimed to facilitate improved early intervention across the country. The Paving the Way report summarises the findings and you can find out more on our dedicated Paving the Way website.

Cumbria early intervention project– In partnership with the Tizard centre, the CBF worked with colleagues leading the Transforming Care programme in Cumbria to pilot an evidence-based early intervention approach in the county.
