At the CB-NSG national meeting held in partnership with the North West PBS Network in October 2015, there was an exhibition of posters focussing on sharing good practice regarding the implementation and impact of Positive Behaviour Support.
There were 12 posters featured, see below for details:
- Debbie Cotton (Autism Spectrum Partners) spoke about ‘The OBS-LDASC – a new behaviour monitoring tool to support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support’
- Sarah Carberry (Avenues Group) explored ‘The impact of PBS on historical behaviour in improving someone’s quality of life and challenging behaviour’
- Denise Kelleher and Karen Roche-Galvin presented on Gloucestershire County Council’s ‘Positive Behavioural Support Service’
- Paul Cooper and Mike Nicholson spoke about ‘Using Positive Behaviour Support to improve quality of life, reduce behaviours that challenge and support wellbeing – the Positive Behaviour Support Service’ for Halton Borough Council
- Joanne Coulson (BCBA—Lead Behaviour Co-ordinator NAS) and Amy Nash (Senior Behaviour Co-ordinator NAS) talked about ‘Developing an organisation wide Positive Behaviour Support Team across adults services for people with a diagnosis of autism’
- Tina Hawkins and Kathy Lowe presented a poster about ‘Collaborative working in Positive Behaviour Support, Systems, Process and Outcomes’ for Walsingham Support
- Dr Diane Conway (Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust) spoke about the ‘Proactive model of PBS training with specialist care providers: Setting up an integrated approach’
- Marie Thomson and Laura Andrew from The Richmond Fellowship Scotland shared ‘Positive Behaviour Support Training for Family Carers Of People with Autism’
- Caroline O’Donnell talked about ‘Using Positive Behavioural Support to Reduce Restrictive Practice’
- Stephanie Fenwick and Stephanie Carr from Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust spoke about ‘Behaviour clinics- delivering positive behaviour support (PBS) to education settings for children with and without learning disabilities’
- Leah Vanono (University of Kent, Tizard Centre) presented a poster exploring ‘Preventing Challenging Behaviour by Implementing The Eight Areas of Social Care Model: Bluebell Grove Case Study’
- Alessandro Bosco (University College London) spoke about ‘Challenging behaviours in Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism: baseline data from a cluster randomised control trial of Positive Behaviour Support’
