Your Voice: Early Intervention Project Video Competition

The Early Intervention Project has just launched a new video competition! We know that the best way to learn about the wants and needs of young people with learning disabilities is to ask them. So, the Project is running a video competition to find out a little bit more about you and what you like doing!

We would love to see videos that answer these questions:

  • What do you like doing outside of school? Why?
  • What makes it hard to do these things?
  • Who/what helps you do these things?

It doesn’t need to be anything fancy – you can just record it on a phone. But remember to keep it under 3 minutes long!

You can communicate your answers in any way you like. For example, talking, signing, using pictures, or asking someone to film you doing your favourite activities, are all perfect ways to tell us about your hobbies. Getting help from friends or family is fine (and they can be in the video too!)

Pic-3.jpgWhen you’re happy with your video, upload it onto YouTube, Vimeo, or Dropbox and send the link (with your details and this form, completed) to earlyinterventionproject@thecbf.org.uk.

There are prizes for the best entries! One person will win a £50 Amazon voucher, and there are two £25 Amazon vouchers for runners-up. However, taking part in this project is much more important than winning a voucher. We would like to use your stories to work out what we (and others) can do to make it easier for you to do the things you like doing, or to try something new! The deadline for entries is November 3rd.

For more details, go to the Your Voice Video Competition page on this website, where you can find more detailed instructions and easy-to-read instructions. You can email earlyinterventionproject@thecbf.org.uk if you have any questions.
