Mental Health Problems Information Sheet
The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) has updated its information sheet “Mental health problems in people with learning disabilities” and created a summary version of this outlining all the key points in an easy to read format.
The “Mental health problems in people with learning disabilities” information sheet is specifically aimed at families who care for a child or adult with severe learning disabilities who may be experiencing mental health problems.
People with learning disabilities are at increased risk of developing mental health problems and as they may not be able to recognise or communicate this themselves, carers have an important role to play in recognising the signs of potential problems.
The information sheet outlines different types of metal health problems and the treatments available for these.
