Project Worker – Engaging Young People

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience of working with children and young people with severe or profound learning disabilities to creatively engage young people with severe learning disabilities and to support their views to be heard at a national level.

Summary

Part time:     22.5 hours per week

Salary:           £26,500 (Pro Rata)

Contract:      3 years (subject to successful delivery of years 1 & 2)

Start Date:    ASAP

Location:      Challenging Behaviour Foundation office in Chatham. There are good transport links, and we are within easy walking distance of the bus and train stations.  Hybrid working considered.

The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) is a forward-thinking national learning disability charity that makes a real difference to people’s lives and has a reputation for driving change. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience of working with children and young people with severe or profound learning disabilities to creatively engage young people with severe learning disabilities and to support their views to be heard at a national level.

A hybrid working arrangement will be considered. Weekly attendance at the Challenging Behaviour Foundation office in Chatham is required. The role will also require regular travel to work directly with young people with learning disabilities, stakeholders and funders.
