Communication and Behaviour Workshops

Learn about the connection between communication and behaviour.

This workshop covers how we communicate, why communication is important and the barriers people with severe learning disabilities face to communicate. The participants learn about a variety of non-verbal communication methods and the use of communication passports.picture of communication aids

The Communication and Behaviour Workshop is:

  • informal and interactive
  • led by a professional trainer and a family carer co-trainer who gives examples from real life experiences.
  • for family carers, paid carers and professionals who support or work with people with severe learning disabilities.
  • for groups of 20-30 people.
