DH Review: Expert Advisor
Professor Tony Holland, a member of the Challenging Behaviour – National Strategy Group, has been appointed as an expert panel member for the Department of Health review (following Winterbourne View), joining Anne Williams and Mark Goldring. Previously, the late Professor Jim Mansell was an expert panel member.
Tony, who is highly respected and well known in the learning disability field, has previously presented at CB-NSG meetings. He is a psychiatrist working in Cambridge (a pathfinder LD commissioning district), and brings a wealth of expertise to the panel which includes research and frontline service provision for individuals with complex needs.
The expert panel are providing input to the DH review including the report and recommendations that will be published in due course.
